9-11 Mysteries?

I have to admit they make a pretty good case about controlled demolitions in Part One. It is done like an educational documentary about structural engineering. Good points are made: One, the towers were made of top grade U.S. steel and designed to take a direct hit from a 707, fully loaded (the 767's were NOT fully loaded). Two, the towers each collapsed in something like ten seconds - odd that this was caused by jet fuel, which burns at a lower temperature - A FAR LOWER TEMPERATURE - than steel melts. And Three, were all the suspicious explosions on multiple floors prior to collapse. Finally, Four is the collapse of WTC building 7: if that was not a controlled demolition, I don't know what is! The caving in of the center roof sure looks like the side by side comparisons to other controlled demolitions.

O.k., I'd like to believe that Lee Harvey Oswald is the sole killer of J.F.K.... And I sure as HELL want to believe that terrorists planned and executed the attacks of 9-11. Still, there are many missing pieces to this puzzle. I can hardly wait for "Mysteries", part II to come out, where they tie in the hijackers role with all of this.

Regardless, our government scares the hell out of me. More so than Al Quada!

Andy Rooney: Let the people vote on everything!

I must admit, there are times that this sounds like a good idea. That is, considering the special interests controlling our Congress. But then again, think about it... The people are being fed information by an increasingly corporate-controlled media. The people respond to sound bites and blurbs.

Take for example what I've learned about Iran and Tehran. I used to think Iran the most god-forsaken place in the world. I still despise their theocratic government, however my friend over there has opened my eyes to that country. If the government could change, it would top my list of places to visit. I'd love to go to places like Mt. Damavand and visit the ruins at Persepolis. Yeah, I know Iran's Pres and government are trying to lure Westerners to travel over there, but it would be hard to go to a place where there are organized demonstrations chanting "Death to America!". I fully realize that in their homes and away from the public, that many young Iranians don't hold that view. They might be playing basketball or listening to hip hop music on their I-Pods.

I also hope that most of the people over there don't think we live lives like some of our celeberaties or that we are all criminals. I say that because all you have to do is log on to 9 News to see multiple murders, child molestations and other crimes. We hang out all of our dirty laundry for everyone to view! I'm kinda ashamed to show those sites to my friend. I can refer him to Chamber of Commerce sites, but we're not all perfect like that, either. No, the streets are not paved in gold. Yet, after many conversations with him, I definately conclude our life is far better here. This is not to belittle the proud Persian heritage, but I think he'd probably agree. Someday that may change. We can always hope.

He just won't go away!

Now I see another story on Ted Haggard. Who cares? He's gone from his church and the details that came out were sordid enough! Why do we need more? Between this and the Anna Nicole story, imagine what foreigners think of this country! It's too bad that the story of millions of hardworking men and women doesn't make the news more often. The sad thing out of all this is Ted, though he lost his job, can go out and write a book and become rich - far richer than he was from that church.

I should go out and make an ass out of myself, so I can be famous and become rich. Unfortunately, humble as I am, I have too much pride to do that! Guess, after everything is gone, I'll die homeless on the street!

Pastor with 666 tattoo claims to be the new Christ

Oh you dummie, the TATTOO is supposed to be on your FOREHEAD!!!! But then again, I suppose there are people who would follow ANYBODY! NO - just in case you were wondering, this humble author does NOT have any divine powers or connections with the almighty!

He's doing a good job...

I have to jump in and give some praise to the Administration from time to time. White House Press Secretary Tony Snow does a pretty good job. Albeit a very difficult job. He doesn't make policy, he just has the difficult position of explaining everything and putting a positive spin on the President and his cronies actions.

He kind of looks like he has lost weight. He still has a sense of humor, but looks a lot more serious than when he was on Fox News. Yeah, I admit I watch IT from time to time... Then I switch to Democracy Now!

You can't speak the truth?

God I wouldn't want to be a presidential candidate! The simple truth is that a lot of soldiers' lives were wasted in Iraq! If everything was so hunkey-dorey over there, then why were most of the Iraq war vets running in the last election Democrats? O.k., maybe it wasn't the most P.C. thing that Obama had said - and maybe they can still salvage the effort over there. But in my opinion every time we rush troops off to war half-assed, well yes, their lives are wasted.

Appreciating the effort is a good thing, and we should always show our appreciation for those trying to follow the orders of their commanders. But when the commanders - particularly the Commander in Chief and his cronies screw up, we don't have to blindly endorse them in the name of some glorified crusade.

Haggard Now "Completely Heterosexual"

Ha ha ha ha ha..... I don't believe there is any such thing in any person. Yes, you read that right!!! O.k., you can be completely one way or the other in what you actually do sexually, but in the deep recesses of your mind, if you see a person of the same gender with features you find attractive sexually, the thought will still be there.

My belief is there are many shades of gray. Yes, I believe there are people born with tendencies. Some are very strong. As a person matures, the majority of people favor females. But let's say you are a guy at the gym and see a guy with firm pecs or well-defined muscular ass... deep down, there are probably some sexual lusts, though on the surface you may just wish you looked like him. You may not even be aware of your lusts.

Of course, some of these conservative Evangelicals would like you to believe that "Satan" is giving you those lusts. I personally believe it is just the way we function.
