McCain, White House at impasse over detainee treatment

I heard on this one they had reached a compromise. On this, just out of respect for the Senator, I think HE (McCain) should be the one that gets what he wants. Is there anyone more qualified to know about torture? I don't think so.

The fact that there is ANY difference at all illustrates why the country made a mistake in 2000. I don't know whether McCain has the oomph to run again, but certainly we need him as a key player in the Senate.
