I will have to be fair here... A botched joke is one thing. And I'm not going to back up on what I said about Kerry. However!!!!! Just praising the troops as patriots and not planning properly, is not justified by Kerry's mistake. The troops are patriots, trying to do their best under difficult circumstances, for sure. I also believe a lot of our soldiers in Vietnam were also trying to do the same. But mismanagement and poor decisions by the likes of Rumsfeld and McNamera and the jerks that committed the troops (both from Texas), are not excused either. My comments on Kerry in the previous post stand on their own and this is a completely different matter...
